Hello & Welcome
Believing in God’s Word and Spirit
Greetings and Grace to each of you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we celebrate this 136th church anniversary, we can truly say, “We Have Been on the Battlefield for Our Lord”. He has brought us and kept us as we continue to build the walls of His Church. In His Word, He promised He will never leave us nor forsake us, therefore, we know the future of the church is blessed. God has commanded His church to go out into the community and this unfriendly world, to let our light shine in order to draw all men unto him. We invite you to come, become a member of His family to worship and praise Him, our Savior. It is our belief that as His children, we are working to continue “Building the Walls of His Church. We are excited about having all persons to anchor themselves in the Lord.
We pray that you will make this your home, where we make the claim of being the “Church in the Heart of The City, With The People of The City In Its Heart”. We know we have not made it this far alone, for the faithful members who have gone to be with the Father, paved the way for us to continue “Building on The Wall”. And we do know that Jesus Christ himself is the chief corner stone of this building. As we look to the future, it is important to know what we do today will have a far reaching impact on people that we do not know. We must continue seeking and serving the Lord and the work that we do in the ministry will payoff. For, it is not about us, but it’s about Jesus. We pray His blessings for all, but especially for His Church and His servants here at Mt. Olive on this corner of Fourth Street and Myrtle Ave.

Guiding Words for Living
God is the Creator and absolute ruler of the universe. He is eternally existent in three personalities: the Father; the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
About Jesus Christ Jesus
Christ is the virgin born Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. Three days after His death and burial, He arose from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended back to Heaven, after His resurrection, and assumed His place of glory at His Father’s right hand. Soon, He will return to the earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
About The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He accomplishes this by making men aware of their sinful condition and pointing out the truth concerning who Jesus Christ is. He also lives in every Christian from the very moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing the right thing. The Christian seeks to live under the power of the Holy Spirit every day.
Man is created in the spiritual image of God Himself, to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of God’s wonderful creation. Although man possesses great power to do good, he is absolutely marred by sin and is inherently wicked. Mankind possesses an attitude of disobedience toward God and His Law. This disobedient spirit and the resulting acts are called sin. Sin separates mankind from God.
Salvation is God’s gift to humanity. Men, left to themselves, can never produce salvation through their good works or self-improvement. Salvation is produced only by trusting Jesus Christ as God’s perfect offer of forgiveness. Eternal life begins the instant a person receives Jesus as his personal Savior. Salvation is a product of God’s sovereign grace. Man is only responsible for believing, by faith, what the Word of God says concerning salvation in Jesus Christ.
